LANDER, Wyo. — Many Wyoming residents were startled awake by an Amber Alert early this morning.

The alert notified the public that a child had been abducted in the Salt Lake City area. Wyoming Highway Patrol found the child in Lander, Wyoming this morning.

WHP was alerted of the abduction at 9:36 p.m. yesterday. Troopers were informed that the vehicle involved in the incident was possibly headed toward Riverton, Wyoming.

Not long after, troopers found the vehicle in Lander and conducted a traffic stop. The child was found unharmed and released to the Wyoming Department of Family Services.

The driver and passenger have been identified as Naomi S. Yellowbear and Jasmine Alvarez who were both arrested for interference with custody.

The incident is still under investigation.
