JACKSON, Wyo. — Center for the Arts will host its Annual Benefit Concert this Sunday, June 30. This annual celebration will once again take place outdoors in The Center Park and features acclaimed Louisiana musician Marc Broussard and his band. All proceeds support The Center as Jackson’s hub for arts and culture.
Several of The Center’s 20 Resident Partner Nonprofits will participate in the festivities, including Teton Music School, whose band Cletus and the Disciples will kick off the evening. Jackson Hole Community Radio (KHOL) will conduct “vox pop” style interviews, Jackson Hole Writers will lead a collaborative story-writing experience and the Art Association of Jackson Hole will lead an interactive print-making activity. Food Trucks will be on hand from Spoons Curbside Bistro, Street Food Taco Cart and Food Truck, and Provisions JH.

“The Benefit Concert is an integral annual event for our organization. The funds raised from this event represent over a quarter of our annual fundraising budget,” said Executive Director, Marty Camino. “We’re grateful to see the community get behind The Center Benefit and we’re excited to put on a great celebration. Our Benefit has become a staple event to kick off summer in Jackson, and Marc Broussard is an ideal musician to lead a feel-good community party for all ages. You won’t want to miss the event this year.”
Board Chair David Hopkins added, “Proceeds from The Center Benefit allow us to provide a community campus dedicated to diverse and high-quality arts programming. The support we receive through this fundraiser allows The Center to deliver on our mission throughout the year.”
Marc Broussard is an artist with a unique gift of channeling the spirits of classic R&B, rock and soul into contemporary terms. After releasing a successful independent EP at age 20, Marc signed a record deal with Island Records and made his major-label debut with “Carencro.” The album featured the hit “Home,” which gained large success on radio and catapulted him into the national spotlight. Broussard’s incomparable brand of soul — an infectious mix of rock, blues, R&B, funk, pop and soul coupled with his powerful vocals — has garnered worldwide praise from critics and fans alike.
The success of The Center Benefit depends not only on ticket sales but also on the generosity of local business sponsors and donors.
