Macker's new exhibit explores the impact of warfare Buckrail - Jackson Hole, news

(Jackson Hole, Wyo.)- In the exhibit HOLDOUT, Thomas Macker uses new media materials and techniques to explore camouflage, bygone war propaganda and the identity of the “holdout” figure in modern warfare.

Macker uses autostereograms (magic eye), flir technology (thermal imaging), light interference pigments (color-changing paint), titanium anodization & insulating, and conductive paints to thematically support the conceptual phenomena mentioned above. This show recently exhibited at Nicolaysen Art Museum in Casper.

HOLDOUT is sponsored in part by the Nicolaysen Art Museum, Jackson Hole Cultural Council (Arts for All grant), Center for the Arts, Agnes Bourne A.S.I.D. and Alucobond 3A Composites.
