Local investment firm finalizes liquor license transfer for Marriott

JACKSON HOLE, WYO – During a light post-holiday schedule, town councilors took care of few matters Tuesday night but did manage to bang the gavel in approval of a resort liquor license transfer from Springhill Suites Marriott to CCC’s Jackson SHS, LLC—a subsidiary of Crystal Creek Capital.

It was another step of housekeeping for Crystal Creek Capital after finalizing a deal to purchase the 121-key hotel at 130 W. Simpson Ave. late last month. The Marriott had been open for less than a year before it was purchased. The current In- Group Hospitality, headed by GM Joe Madera, will continue to manage day-to-day hotel operations.

Transfer of the resort liquor license was approved unanimously on a 4-0 vote with councilman Don Frank absent. The license is valid through the end of the current liquor license year, which is March 31, 2018. The renewal of the license will be included with the annual renewals coming to council on February 20, 2018.

Jim Walter is the head of Crystal Creek Capital. Jamie Yarrow heads the organization’s lodging operations. Crystal Creek Capital also owns Mountain Modern Motel and is developing the Center Street Project at Center and E. Deloney streets which will include a 98-key hotel. Crystal Creek is also currently building a condominium development at the base of Snow King.
