JACKSON, Wyo. — The Riverbend Project is a local non-profit that offers unmatched, fly fishing retreats in Jackson Hole, for people impacted by cancer.
The Riverbend Project hosts two retreats each summer. For each retreat, we cover all costs including lodging, meals, fishing licenses and equipment, as well as two full days of professionally guided fishing trips on the Snake River.
Participants are free to enjoy the river however they want—whether that is fishing every minute or just enjoying the scenery and wildlife, it is entirely up to them.
“My vision for The Riverbend Project was to combine my love of fly fishing and guide expertise to provide participants with a truly unique experience,” says Warren Wenzel, founder of The Riverbend Project.
Warren’s inspiration comes from his younger sister Grace, who used the outdoors as a source of therapy throughout her year and a half long battle with Stage IV Metastatic Melanoma. The Riverbend Project honors Grace’s legacy by creating a community of support amongst participants through outdoor recreation and enjoyment.
