JACKSON, Wyo. — Local live music streaming has trickled down, though there’s an unprecedented number of shows being broadcasted on the national spectrum everyday. You might even catch something like Stevie Wonder calling into Questlove’s DJ live stream just a few days ago. It can be overwhelming to track down these events, so here are a few places to start.

For mainstream artists, CNET.com covers the daily spectrum and is well organized. Today’s offerings include Questlove, H.E.R., The National, Jackie Greene, Melissa Etheridge, Amanda Shires, and Ben Gibbard of Death Cab for Cutie. And it’s only Monday.

Two more solid calendars for keeping tabs on established artists —many of whom have setup benefit shows — can be found at Billboard.com and Vulture.com.

But like discovering the next up-and-coming indie act at South by Southwest or Treefort Music Fest, it takes dedication to find the smaller acts that lack the same reach. A few sources dedicated to spreading the love for these lesser-known artists include Americana Highways and Viral Music on Facebook, Jam in the Van, Jambase Live Streams, and Live for Live Music. Massive concert archive Nugs.net is also offering thirty days for free.

Locally, the Jackson Hole Hootenanny will stream again tonight from YouTube. Check the folk music group’s Facebook page at 6 p.m. MST for a link to the stream.
