JACKSON, Wyo. — Center for the Arts will host the 10th anniversary presentation of The Moth Mainstage, a favorite annual event for Jackson’s fans of storytelling. Performers take the stage on Saturday, March 1, at 7 p.m.

In its 25-year history, The Moth has presented more than 45,000 stories, told live without notes, by people from all walks of life to standing-room-only crowds worldwide. The Moth Podcast is downloaded more than 90 million times a year. Each Moth Mainstage features simple, old-fashioned storytelling, by five wildly divergent raconteurs who develop and shape their stories with The Moth’s artistic team.

This year’s theme: Bound and Determined. Hear stories of running free, throwing caution to the wind and trusting one’s gut. The courage to face change head-on or the tenacity to create a revolution. Leaving expectations behind, diverging from the beaten path and blazing a trail of one’s own.

Host: Ivy Le is a Vietnamese American standup comedian, actress and writer based in Austin, Texas. She is the creator of the critically acclaimed Spotify Studios podcast FOGO: Fear of Going Outside, a nature show by the most reluctant host ever. FOGO is featured on Delta flights and recommended by The Guardian, CBC, Oprah and, inexplicably, Outside. She hosts the only queer comedy open mic in Austin, and performs at comedy festivals all over the country. Follow her on Instagram, TikTok and YouTube @IvyLeWithOneE

Storytellers:

Parvathy Anantnarayan is a mom, an educator and a collector of stacks of unused notebooks. She came to The Moth through a teacher professional development workshop in New Orleans and as a participant in the Moth Teacher Institute in New York City. She loves stories — reading them, listening to them, telling them and, most of all, wondering about all the stories that will never be told.

Esmond Fountain is a storyteller/comedian based in Brooklyn who firmly believes that an order of French fries qualifies as a meal. He is a military brat, so it’s better to not ask him where he’s from without plenty of time to kill. As a CMB (Certified Momma’s Boy), Esmond never lets 24 hours pass without talking to Tammy. This April, find him debuting his solo show, “Desperate: A Beverly Hills Manny,” at the Wild Project Theater for the NYC Fringe Festival.

Tickets start at $48 a limited number remain for this March 1st show.
