JACKSON, Wyo. — The Teton County Library is seeking volunteers to help residents prepare their taxes.

The free income tax preparation program prepared more than 400 tax returns last year and is recruiting tax preparers, client coordinators, and translators to work shifts on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Saturdays during the tax season, Jan. 28-April 13.

Volunteer tax preparers are trained and IRS-certified. Tax experience is not required and most of the tax preparation work is done from home. For job descriptions, a tax season calendar and an application, visit tclib.org/tax. This volunteer commitment is flexible, with online training from December through mid-January and tax preparation Jan. 28 through April 14.

The Teton County Library and (Internal Revenue Service) (IRS) have collaborated to bring this free service to the community for 19 years. More information about the program’s services will be available at tclib.org/tax and at the library in mid-January, with the first tax intake session taking place Saturday, Jan. 28 in the library auditorium.
