JACKSON HOLE, WYO – Do you have or know of a child entering kindergarten in the fall?
Practice K is a summer program for entering kindergarten students in the fall. The program is aimed at building student confidence and helping to support the transition into kindergarten.
Through Practice K, families will be provided programming to engage them with their pre-K students as well as ensuring students are prepared for kindergarten with basic name writing, numeracy, literacy skills and knowledge of school routines, rules, procedures, and expectations.
The program also provides a preschool experience to students who did not have access to preschool. Practice Kindergarten is free of cost. It will run at Colter Elementary for four weeks (July 22 through August 15, from 9am to 12pm, Monday – Thursday (times subject to change due to bus schedule).
Transportation and lunch are provided by TCSD. Practice Kindergarten is a program funded by 21st-century CLC grant and in collaboration with Teton County School District.
