BONNEVILLE COUNTY, Idaho — The suspect connected to the homicide/kidnapping case in Idaho has been located near Idaho Falls and arrested, according to the Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO).
Jeremy Albert Best was found in a sleeping bag on the side of the road near Dan Creek Road, east of Idaho Falls, on Saturday morning, Dec. 2. The hunters who called in the sighting “stated the man was naked and making odd statements,” per BCSO. After medical clearance, Best was transported to the Bonneville County Jail and booked, where he will remain incarcerated until arraignment.
“Near the area where Best was located, deputies located his vehicle, a black Chevy SUV, down an embankment off the roadway,” BCSO said via press release. “Deputies also located a child, Zeke Best, deceased at the scene.”
FBI agents have joined BSCO, Idaho Falls Police Detectives, the Teton County Sheriff’s Office and Idaho State Police in the investigation.
The suspect is under investigation for the death of Kali Jean Randall, 38, who was found deceased in Victor on Thursday, Nov. 30. Her 10-month-old son, Zeke, had been abducted from the scene. Randall was pregnant with her second child, according to the Jackson Hole News&Guide.
“Our thoughts are with the family of the victims involved in this case,” BCSO said via press release. “Further information about this case will be available at an appropriate time in the future as the investigation is still ongoing.”
