SWAN VALLEY, Idaho — The Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO) has shared new information regarding homicide suspect Jeremy Best.
According to BCSO, deputies responded to a disturbance at Swan Valley General Store around 11:55 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 30. A nude male was walking through the store, later identified by deputies as Best.
“Mr. Best was evaluated by EMS on scene and transported to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center by ambulance,” BCSO said via press release. “A Bonneville County deputy followed the ambulance and Mr. Best was turned over to the hospital staff for further medical and mental health concerns.”
Approximately 12 hours later, Best is believed to have abducted his infant son, 10-month-old Zeke.
He is also being investigated in connection to the death of Kali Jean Randall, 38, who was found deceased at 4600 Skyline Loop after the Teton County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call from the residence at 11:39 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 30. Deputies arrived at the residence and found Randall non-responsive. Her death is being investigated by TCSO and Idaho State Police as a homicide, TCSO said.
BSCO said that it would not be making any further comment at this time, and will continue to assist the agencies investigating Best in Teton County.
“The most important thing right now is the safety of Zeke and locating him and Mr. Best,” BCSO said.
Best is believed to be armed and very dangerous. Members of the public who have information on the whereabouts of the suspect, vehicle or the endangered child should call 208-354-2323 or 911 immediately. It is advised to not approach or attempt to confront the suspect.
This is a developing story and will be updated when more information becomes available.
