YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK — Visitation numbers for July in Yellowstone National Park (YNP) were announced on Tuesday, with the national park recording a 2% drop in recreation visits from July 2025.

Last month, YNP welcomed 958,706 recreation visits, while last year, July saw 975,109 visits. July visitation showed an 11% decrease from the same month in 2021 (1,080,767 recreation visits), which was the park’s record-breaking year and busiest July on record. YNP’s record 2021 saw over 4.8 million recreation visits.

So far this year, YNP has hosted 2,635,384 recreation visits, which is down about 1% from both 2025 (2,666,031 visits) and 2021 (2,668,765 visits).
