Ms. Pond has served as the Teton County Health Department Director for more than a decade. She will retain her title as Director of Health but plans to delegate duties to a current health department employee to help manage the work load, according to the County.

“We appreciate Jodie’s willingness to step in as the interim Commissioners’ Administrator, and are grateful for the leadership she has provided the community over the past decade,” Vice Chairwoman Natalia D. Macker told Buckrail. “The Board looks forward to working with her as we examine the organizational structure of the County in the coming months.”

Alyssa Watkins, the County’s Administrator for nine years, presented options for restructuring the County’s organizational structure before she announced that she would be departing the role on Friday, March 15.

Over the next couple of months, the BCC will examine the option to create an additional Administrator role. Once there is more information on this position, the BCC will review the options that Watkins presented for restructuring during the County’s Voucher Meeting on Jan. 29.

Watkins outlined recommended departmental structural alternatives, including new administrator roles in different departments, a change in the ways an administrator will report and an increase in direct reporting. These recommendations will be implemented in phases.
