JACKSON, Wyo. — The Jackson Hole Ski & Snowboard Club (JHSC) is excited to present their annual gala fundraiser, the Melvin Brewing Black Tie, Blue Jeans Ski Ball on September 24 from 7-8 p.m.
The “Ski Ball,” commonly referred to as the best party in Jackson Hole, traditionally hosts over 400 people atop the Bridger Gondola in Teton Village, all gathering to celebrate the coming of winter and to raise much-needed funds in support of JHSC’s 500 local student-athletes.
For 2020, the Ski Ball (as with many events) is going virtual… and it’s going to be awesome!
After recently launching details of the gala, JHSC has received numerous compliments regarding the virtual soiree. “I love all the details you have done,” said Andi Caruso, Executive Assistant, Wine Coordinator and Sommelier for the Wort Hotel and Million Dollar Cowboy Bar. “You all are going to be the virtual event to try to emulate.”

The 2020 Melvin Brewing Ski Ball is shaping up to be a fun and exciting virtual experience with many of the components attendees have come to love about the event.
The program will be a 60-minute, live broadcast and include a mix of live and recorded content, live raffles, a huge silent auction and much more.
The Ski Ball will be followed by a live, virtual afterparty with Jackson Hole’s DJ ERA.
Both the Ski Ball and the afterparty will be all-ages, family-friendly and accessible on your phone, tablet and/or computer from the comfort and safety of your own home, anywhere in the world.
For viewers in the Jackson Hole area, the JHSC is offering meal and cocktail packages that attendees can enjoy at home while tuning in.
“Initially, the idea of pivoting to a virtual platform seemed incredibly overwhelming, but with a little research, we realized the Ski Ball could not only survive as an online event but thrive,” said JHSC’s Chief Marketing Officer, Jeff Moran.
“We’re looking at this as an opportunity to entertain our attendees while teaching them a little about the JHSC, Jackson, WY’s oldest nonprofit. We want this to be a really fun experience, just like the traditional Ski Ball.”
There are many ways to engage with the Ski Ball this year beyond just tuning into the broadcast. Highlights include:
