TETON VILLAGE, Wyo. — Jackson Hole Mountain Resort (JHMR) will open to visitors on Friday, Nov. 29, with its Teewinot, Après Vous and Sweetwater Gondola lifts operating, the resort announced Tuesday.
JHMR reports that continuous snowmaking, 52 inches of snowfall on the summit and 27 inches of snowfall mid-mountain have created “coverage across much of the north side of the resort.”
“Additional snowfall is expected before Opening Day and throughout the weekend,” the announcement reads. “Early season conditions still exist and all guests are advised to stay out of closed areas and look for hazards.”
Further operational updates are expected ahead of the Dec. 6 weekend, according to the resort.
“The first snowfall has arrived and our snowmakers are hard at work to supplement Mother Nature,” JHMR President Mary Kate Buckley said in a statement. “We look forward to welcoming guests back to Jackson Hole Mountain Resort for the new winter season.”
Regarding plans to unveil the newly revamped Sublette chairlift, JHMR’s announcement notes that it plans for a soft opening as soon as conditions allow, with plans for a grand opening dedication ceremony on Dec. 20.
