TETON VILLAGE, Wyo. — Jackson Hole Mountain Resort (JHMR) has announced that the Casper Lift will open tomorrow, Dec. 12., and the Bridger Gondola and Marmot Chair will open Saturday, Dec. 13.
JHMR has shared season snowfall totals at the summit to be 105 inches, with 68 inches at mid-mountain. Actual snow depth at the summit is 44 inches and at mid-mountain is 22 inches, according to their snow report.
Buckrail meteorologist Alan Smith reported that despite the unusually warm weather, snow totals had increased from 18 to 23 inches at 9,000 feet on Dec. 3 to 42 to 47 inches Dec. 10. The summit of Jackson Hole Mountain Resort lies at 10,450 feet.
“Early season conditions persist; know your abilities, respect other skiers and riders, and obey all marked terrain closures,” JHMR wrote in an Instagram caption.
