TETON VILLAGE, Wyo. — The Jackson Hole Community Band will host a free, family-friendly Halloween concert at Walk Festival Hall next weekend.

This one-hour concert, which is open to the public, will begin at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 25, at the concert venue in Teton Village. The concert will feature familiar tunes, including music from “Wicked,” “CoCo” and “The Addams Family.”

The Jackson Hole Community Band’s Assistant Director Cheryl DeLong told Buckrail that the Halloween concert geared toward children began in 2010 under the direction of Art Fuerte. Band members have dressed in costume for the event as well.

“This free concert gained popularity in the community with both children and adults,” DeLong said via email. “It has become an event that the Community Band particularly enjoys.”

Children are encouraged to dress in costumes and participate in the parade through the theater during the concert. The costume parade is an opportunity for young participants to walk in front of the stage and showcase their attire.

The Teton Village Association has organized trick-or-treating with various vendors in Teton Village after the concert. Kids can wear their costumes and visit participating sites to receive goodies.
