It’s on: Kings & Queens happening tomorrow

JACKSON, Wyo. — The weather window is upon us, and Jackson Hole Mountain Resort has made the call: Kings & Queens of Corbet’s will happen tomorrow, February 11.

It’s an epic showdown of skill and guts, featuring 24 of the world’s greatest skiers and snowboarders. Three men and three women will walk away with prize money, but there can only be one king and one queen.

Competitor and two-year reigning queen, Caite Zeliff, shared her excitement with Buckrail. “Starting this weekend when all the athletes started to roll in, the energy was palpable,” she said. “These are some of the best athletes in the world. It’s really inspiring to be surrounded by people who are able to push themselves to such an extent and I’m honored to be amongst them.”

And push themselves they will. Each competitor will get two runs down Corbet’s to show their stuff. They’ll be judged on their best run.

The competition is expected to start at 10 a.m. Spectators can watch from below Corbet’s Couloir, in Tensleep Bowl. If you can’t be there, JHMR and Red Bull TV will livestream the event and Buckrail will share it on our Facebook. Reminder to spectators: there is no beginner or intermediate terrain from the spectator venue to the base of the mountain.

Tune into our Facebook tomorrow for the livestream or watch below:
