JACKSON, Wyo. — On Saturday, Sept. 23, 700 runners from across the country will participate in a trio of races hosted by the Jackson Hole Racing Company and Jackson Hole Chamber of Commerce.
The Jackson Hole Marathon kicks off at 7:30 a.m. on Town Square and winds 26.2 miles through east Jackson, around South Park and finishing in Teton Village. The half marathon runners will join in at the Presbyterian Church and run 13.1 miles out to the Village. The quarter marathon will begin at Stilson where runners will complete 6.5 miles to Teton Village. All of the racers will finish at the Village Commons.
“We know the valley’s scenery is what gets runners excited about the Jackson Hole Marathon Races, but our community is what really makes this race special,” Carrie Kruse, one of the race organizers, said. “We love all of the support of the marathon from our sponsor businesses, volunteers, and especially our local racers.”
Keep an eye out for runners on the road, especially early Saturday morning in east Jackson, on Boyles Hill Road, and at pathway crossings from South Park to the Village. The runners will be on pathways for most of all race distances.
