JACKSON, Wyo. — Isaac Hayden is an understated Teton County songwriter that chased his dream across the country to Nashville for eight years and played shows all over the country before circling back to the Tetons. His soul-pop sensibility is cushioned by a voice that can capture a room and songwriting chops that showcase his melodic strengths. Hayden will perform a solo livestream this Friday from the Center Theater.
It’s no surprise that Hayden would land on season three of NBC’s a cappella talent competition, The Sing-Off, several years ago. He was one of a nine-member group of Nashville singer-songwriters that called themselves The Collective, and the judges included Ben Folds, Sara Bareilles and Boyz II Men’s Shawn Stockman.
Further opportunity in Music City positioned him for opening slots for Keb Mo’, Blues Traveler, Martin Sexton, Fitz & The Tantrums, Rickie Lee Jones, Tony Joe White, and collaborators Sam & Ruby, the latter of which aided Hayden with recording sessions. He was twice selected on Nashville WRLT Lightning 100’s ‘Artist Of The Week,’ spinning songs from his 2014 eponymous album in the popular radio station’s rotation.
Hayden has also traveled to Denmark a few times in recent years to collaborate and record with songwriters from around the world. For his debut livestream, he will focus on recently written material.
