HOBACK, Wyo. — S189/191 is open as of 2:33 p.m. after the Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT) closed the road between Hoback Junction and Pinedale for planned avalanche mitigation.
Warm temperatures have caused wet slides to avalanche onto roadways. An avalanche closed the same section of the road last evening just after 7 p.m. Teton Pass also had an avalanche cover the road last evening, stalling traffic for over an hour.
