JACKSON, Wyo. — The local songwriter-composer scene in Teton County is strong and seasoned, though a bit underground, and not always afforded the style of venue that helps foster community growth. Enter the non-traditional venue. Jackson Hole Book Trader Owner Andrew Firment has opened his doors to provide a listening space. Hilary Camino and Inland Isle will share a bill in the intimate space this Thursday.
Camino has been building up her songwriting prowess as a solo artist following stints with bands Freda Felcher and Whiskey Mornin’. This year, she has released two singles—“We’ve Got it All” and “Cold Again”—after launching her solo recording journey in 2024 with “Release Your Grip.” Her musical journey has included Camino’s bandmate, multi-instrumentalist and producer Leif Routman, as well as cameos on the latest single from Jackson’s musician scene such as Liam O’Neill, Joe Rudd, Matt Herron, and her husband, Marty Camino. Hilary expressed her gratitude for the process in a recent Instagram post.
“I’m verklempt! Here I am listening to ‘We’ve Got it All’ for the first time since it was released and I got all choked up thinking about this journey,” Camino shared. “This was the first song I wrote after I truly said ‘yes’ to writing again. After having two kids and feeling like I’d lost myself, I made a decision to allow my creative self more space. There were so many moments along the way when I second guessed myself…and sometimes I wondered, what’s the point? I’m so damn proud of myself for pushing past those moments, for staying focused on the art, and for trusting myself and others to this finish line. Ultimately it’s not about the ‘plays’ and the ‘likes,’ it’s about this moment right here.”
Hilary will be joined by special guests including Routman, who is also in Inland Isle.

Inland Isle’s primary songwriter, Patrick Chadwick, received a Performing Arts Fellowship in Music through the Wyoming Arts Council in 2023, “a merit-based award for an artist’s work in their field.” As a unit, Inland Isle won the audience vote to earn a lot at the 2025 Rendezvous Fest in April. Its latest release, “Year’s Divide,” was a single that appeared on the 2023 compilation of Wyoming songwriters, “The WyoFolk Project.” The quartet is currently in the final stages of a follow-up album to 2021’s “Time Has Changed Us,” and is sure to share from that soon-to-be-released material.
Hilary Camino & Inland Isle, 7:30-9:30 p.m. Thursday June 12 at JH Book Trader. All-ages, BYOB. $20 suggested donation. Capacity is limited.
