JACKSON, Wyo. — Stop by the Teton County Health Department (TCHD) on Saturday for low to no-cost sexually transmitted infection (STI) testing.
The event will be hosted on June 6 at TCHD’s office at 460 East Pearl Avenue from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Fast and confidential testing will be available for HIV, Chlamydia, Gonorrhea, Syphilis and Hepatitis C. TCHD said in a social media post that all are welcome and every attendee will receive a raffle entry. Walk-ins are welcome, but TCHD stated that wait times are possible.
“If you are sexually active, getting tested for STIs is one of the most important things you can do to protect your health and the health of those around you,” TCHD said in a press release. “Regular screening is crucial because many STIs do not present immediate symptoms, meaning you could be infected and unknowingly transmit them to others.”
For those unable to attend the event, appointments for STI testing are available on weekdays and can be scheduled by calling (307) 733-6401, option 4 for nursing services.
TCHD added: “Take control of your health — no judgment, just care.”
