JACKSON, Wyo. — The Town of Jackson (TOJ) wants input on current policies surrounding dogs in parks. As it stands, the only dog park in Jackson is located at the Teton County Fairgrounds for the winter months; dogs are not allowed in any town park, although many residents disregard this rule to let their pooches romp.

In order to update policies so that the community can find common ground, TOJ has released a survey. Those interested in participating in the survey can find it here.

Questions in the survey ask about topics such as off-leash versus on-leash policies, dogs near playgrounds, and potential restricted hours during which dogs could be allowed in parks.

“We seek to find common ground and ‘both/and’ solutions for Town parks to help ensure people who do not like canine company and those that do can all enjoy our public assets,” the Town shared in a press release.
