GTNP is hosting Junior Ranger Day on Saturday, May 4, for families and children of all ages, the park has announced. The theme for this year’s event is “Go with the Flow,” centering on the park’s aquatic ecosystems. Activities will be focused on fish and fishing, boating and aquatic invasive species, safety and the protection of waterways.

Indoor and outdoor games, crafts and activities will be facilitated by park staff and representatives from the U.S. Forest Service, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, the Snake River Fund, the River Bend Project, Teton Science Schools, Wyoming Stargazing and more. Kids will be able to explore boats, fire engines, park patrol vehicles, snowplows and more. Earn a Junior Ranger badge from participation in the day’s activities.

Junior Ranger Day will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 4, at the park’s Craig Thomas Discovery and Visitor Center. The event is free and open to the public. The visitor center store will offer a discount to participants that day.
