GRAND TETON NATIONAL PARK — The Jenny Lake Campground in Grand Teton National Park (GTNP) has gotten a facelift.

GTNP shared on social media Friday that it completed a checklist of remodel items at the popular camping spot. According to the GTNP website, the Jenny Lake Campground sits on the east side of Jenny Lake and has 61 campsites.

“We’ve wrapped up a series of renovations designed to make the camping experience safer, more accessible and more enjoyable.” GTNP wrote on Facebook.

The renovations include 13 new accessible water spigots and new water lines, as well as 48 new elevated bear-resistant food storage boxes. The bear boxes were installed with support from the Grand Teton National Park Foundation. GTNP also made changes like widening pavement to create a short bicycle connector lane that hopes to ease vehicle and bike interactions. Road repairs, fresh pavement and adding reflective campsite number signs were also accomplished.

“Huge thanks to everyone who helped make this project happen,” reads the post. “The park and Grand Teton Lodge Company are excited to welcome visitors back to a refreshed Jenny Lake Campground!”
