GRAND TETON NATIONAL PARK — Grand Teton National Park (GTNP) is offering free ranger-guided snowshoe hikes this winter, every Tuesday and Friday from 1:15 to 3:30 p.m.

According to GTNP, snowshoe hike distance usually ranges from one to one and a half miles, with little to no elevation gain. While there is no cost to sign up, reservations are required.

“Why sign up?” GTNP asks on its Facebook. “Because it’s awesome. And we believe that by learning about the ecosystem and the stories that nature tells, one can foster an even greater relationship with this special place.”

To make a reservation, call 307-739-3399, Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. MST.

GTNP will provide large, wooden and historic snowshoes, but participants can also bring their own.
