CHEYENNE, Wyo. — The National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) has awarded $40,000 in direct grants to four Wyoming organizations and individuals including Grand Teton Music Festival (GTMF) in Jackson.

GTMF was awarded $10,000 in the category of “Grants for Arts Projects-Music.” According to GTMF, the grant will help fund GTMF’s “On the Road” program.

The program aims to bring live classical music to audiences in Teton County and the surrounding communities through free concerts performed by Festival Orchestra musicians.

According to GTMF, in 2022, On the Road delivered 23 free concerts by 10 musician groups to 1,476 community members.

“Funding from the NEA and other community partners will help GTMF grow On the Road’s impact in 2023. GTMF is grateful to the NEA and every donor making music more accessible for more in our community,” GTMF said in a Facebook post.
