TETON VILLAGE, Wyo. — The Grand Teton Music Festival Orchestra will perform orchestral masterpieces by Haydn and Mahler on Friday and Saturday evening at Walk Festival Hall.

It’s a night in Vienna, without the waltzes. Grand Teton Music Festival (GTMF) Music Director, Sir Donald Runnicles, conducts legendary works by two of history’s greatest symphonists. Austrian masters Haydn and Mahler are featured on a program that will highlight the range and virtuosity of the Festival Orchestra and remind concertgoers that no film can capture the drama of live performance. The program includes Haydn’s Symphony No. 88 and Mahler’s epic Symphony No. 5.

The performance will be held Friday, July 26 from 7 to 9 p.m. and Saturday, July 27 from 6 to 8 p.m. Tickets range from $40 to $80 for adults and $5 for children and students and can be purchased here.

Those who would like a behind-the-scenes glimpse of the performance can attend an open rehearsal on Friday morning at 10 a.m. Tickets are $20 for adults; $5 for students and children.

Concertgoers are invited to a free pre-concert talk one hour before concert start time with GTMF Stomer Family Education Curator, Meaghan Heinrich, in the Barbara Furrer Goodman Memorial Garden near Walk Festival Hall’s north entrance.
