JACKSON, Wyo. — Work on Gregory Lane, the largest public works project ever in the Town of Jackson (TOJ), continues this week with updated road closures. On Tuesday starting at 9a.m., water will be turned off for parts of Gregory Lane in order to install a new cap on the existing water main line near V-O Lane.

Parts of Gregory Lane south of V-O Lane will also close on Tuesday for the temporary shutdown. Once work is complete, the road closure will shift to the current location between North Park Transportation and Roadhouse.

Also this week, crews will install temporary water services between North Park Transportation and 1155 Gregory Lane, which will require some excavation. A new water main line will continue north from a new hydrant at North Park Transportation. Stormwater will also be installed from the Martin Lane and Gregory Lane intersection to the storm inlet west of the entrance of Bison Lumber.

Meanwhile, water main testing was completed between the Teton County School District stadium entrance and North Park Transportation, and stormwater main and inlets were installed to the north end of 1200 Gregory Lane.

“For properties adjacent to this stretch of Gregory Lane, we recommend removing aerators from faucets and running cold water for 10 -15 minutes,” TOJ Associate Engineer Jeff Stillman shared in a press release. “If you experience sediment, air, cloudiness, or a slight odor, flush an additional 10 -15 minutes. If conditions persist, please contact [the TOJ].”
