Grand Teton Music Festival’s On the Road Series brings classical music to audiences in accessible inviting locations.

JACKSON, Wyo. — This Friday and Saturday at Walk Festival Hall, Grand Teton Music Festival (GTMF) presents works by Detlev Glanert, Robert Schumann and Johannes Brahms featuring the Festival Orchestra conducted by Sir Donald Runnicles. Pianist Ingrid Fliter is the guest artist.

Pianist Ingrid Fliter will join the Festival Orchestra as the guest artist in this weekend’s performances.

The names Brahms and Schumann are forever linked by circumstances both pure and complicated. Thanks in large part to the selfless encouragement of their shared muse, Clara, these men now reside forever in the pantheon of western music. Sharing the program with Robert Schumann’s only Piano Concerto and the 1st Symphony of Brahms is the U.S. premiere of Detlev Glanert’s homage to Brahms, Idyllium

The Friday concert will be held from 8-10 p.m., and the Saturday concert is 6-8 p.m.

Detlev Glanert: Idyllium (U.S. Premiere)
R. Schumann: Concerto for Piano in A minor
Brahms: Symphony No. 1 in C minor
