Governor signs Shelley Bill providing for women’s antelope hunt

WYOMING –Governor Matt Mead yesterday signed into law SF3 (Shelley’s Bill) that makes 80 antelope licenses available for purchase each year for the Wyoming Women’s Antelope Hunt.

Shelley Simonton is the former executive director of the Wyoming Women’s Foundation, an organization she helped found in 2013. She died May 26, 2017, after a battle with cancer.

The bill authorizes Game and Fish to issue 80 licenses for the use of one additional antelope hunt per year.
