WYOMING — On July 9, Governor Mark Gordon announced the launch of the Wyoming Grant Assistance Program (WYGAP) to assist local communities in accessing federal funding and support grants.

“Over the past two years, we have responded to community requests for assistance in accessing available federal grants,” Governor Gordon said in the announcement. “The interest in these opportunities has been overwhelming, and they can be used to reduce local community tax burden while improving services. The Grants Management Initiative will help our local governments and small businesses succeed.”

According to Gordon’s Office, the very first Grants Management Office has been established to provide state agencies, local governments, non-profits and small businesses with technical assistance to identify, pursue and manage grants that support local priorities. The office also offers the Wyoming Grants Connect Hub, a searchable database of over 300 funding opportunities. The Hub is a one-stop shop, providing access to the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA), the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA), and the CHIPS and Science Act as well as State Agency grant programs.

Organizations looking for assistance can visit the WYGAP website to apply. For more information on the grants initiative and requests for assistance, contact sbd-grants@wyo.gov.
