JACKSON, Wyo. — Governor Mark Gordon is paying a visit to Jackson Tuesday and will ride in the Jackson Hole Fourth of July parade along with First Lady Jennie Gordon.

He usually attends community celebrations across the state, but this is Gordon’s first time participating in the Jackson Fourth of July parade as Governor.

“He has tremendous enthusiasm for U.S. history and appreciates the opportunity to publicly celebrate the founding of our country each year,” Michael Pearlman, Gordon’s Communication Director said.

The parade will leave the Fairgrounds and follow the route up Glenwood Street to Broadway Avenue to Willow Street. According to the Jackson Hole Chamber of Commerce, The Sheriff’s Office will lead, followed by the American Legion Post 43, the Community band and Governor Mark Gordon. About 60 groups and organizations are participating in the parade.

Gordon visited the region in 2022 to celebrate Olympic Silver Medalist Jaelin Kauf. He also hosted a community forum on The Center lawn in 2021.
