ALTA, Wyo. — In celebration of her Olympic achievement, Wyoming’s Jaelin Kauf received several honors yesterday from Governor Mark Gordon at her home mountain, Grand Targhee Resort.

Governor Gordon announced a proclamation along with Targhee’s decision to name a new run after the local silver-medalist.

“What an honor to join in the celebration for Olympic moguls silver medalist Jaelin Kauf and ski with her at her home resort in Alta, Wyoming today,” said the Governor.”

“I proclaimed April 10 Jaelin Kauf Day, and Grand Targhee Resort revealed it will be naming a new run in her honor.”

She's a lover of alliteration, easy-to-follow recipes and board games when everyone knows the rules. Her favorite aspect about living in the Tetons is the collective admiration that Wyomingites share for the land and the life that it sustains.
