WILSON, Wyo. — The boot pack up Mount Glory will close from the access point on the top of Teton Pass to the passive repeater structure, Tuesday, May 16 at 7 a.m.

The parking area at the top of the Pass will remain open.

The panel and steel structure is set to be dismantled tomorrow. Work will then begin to grind the foundations down to ground level, according to Jay Pence, Caribou-Targhee National Forest district ranger for the Teton Basin. Grinding the foundations of the structure will take the most time, and hopefully will be completed between May 20-22.

A helicopter will be used to remove the materials between May 25 and 31, prompting another closure.

“Someone will be at the bottom letting people know it’s closed,” Pence said.

The project was initially set to begin on April 24 but was delayed by American Tower Corporation, the owners of the structure.
