JACKSON, Wyo. — It’s almost time to start thinking about cleaning up those beautiful fallen leaves.

Fall clean-up is on at the beginning of November at rodeo grounds and at the Trash Transfer Station.

Residents can drop off their yard waste for free at the Rodeo Grounds Friday, Nov. 5 from 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. There will also be no fee to drop off yard waste at the Trash Transfer Station from Nov. 1 through Nov. 5 from 7 a.m. – 3 p.m., and Saturday, Nov. 7 from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.

Yard waste drop-off is for leaves, grass, pumpkins, and branches. No trash or dog waste, please. This is for residential yard waste, not commercial businesses.

Yard waste will be composted locally by Terra Firma Organics, rather than being trucked away 100 miles to the landfill.

The Town of Jackson asks residents to not dump yard waste at the rodeo grounds before or after Nov. 5.

Jackson residents can also perform controlled burns Oct. 30 through Nov. 7, but not before calling the Jackson Hole Law Enforcement Agency at 307-733-2331.

The Pumpkin Smash has been suspended this year and will not take place, but bring your pumpkins in for composting.
