Four bonus shows announced at The Center

JACKSON, Wyo.—Mark your calendars! The “Center Presents” winter season lineup (January–March shows) will be announced on December 4.

Luckily, we don’t have to wait until January to see another great show at the Center—it’s adding four big-name bonus shows to their lineup this year.

First, on Tuesday, December 3, musician, actor, and author Storm Large will share her musical talents—and holiday cheer—with the Center stage.

Storm made her debut as guest vocalist with the band Pink Martini in April 2011, singing four sold-out concerts with the National Symphony Orchestra at the Kennedy Center in Washington, DC. She continues to perform with the band, touring nationally and internationally and featured on their CD Get Happy. Her memoir, Crazy Enough, was named one of Oprah’s Book of the Week.

Then Tuesday, December 17, Multiple Grammy Award-winner and MacArthur Fellow, Chris Thile, will perform mandolin. Thile, a member of Punch Brothers and Nickel Creek, is a mandolin virtuoso, composer and vocalist. With his broad outlook that encompasses classical, rock, jazz, and bluegrass, Thile transcends the borders of conventionally circumscribed genres, creating a distinctly American canon and a new musical aesthetic for performers and audiences alike.

On Friday, December 27, Josh Ritter will hit the Center stage. Named as one of the 100 Best Living Songwriters by Paste Magazine, Josh has since recorded nine studio albums and has toured all over the world sharing the stage with musicians such as The French Kicks and Joan Baez.

Lastly, on Sunday, December 29, prepare to have your mind blown at The Mike Super 2.0H show. Mike is a magician and illusionist who has performed on stages around the world and was a finalist on a number of TV shows including America’s Got Talent and Phenomenon. Bring the family to experience the wonder and mystery of Mike Super.
