JACKSON HOLE, WYO – Teton County Sheriff’s Office authorities have confirmed they are in receipt of a prisoner from the state penitentiary in Rawlins.
Joshua Black, 38, has been incarcerated since October 2014 when he was arrested by Sheriff’s deputies for Aggravated Assault, Possession of Marijuana, Possession with the Intent to Deliver Marijuana, and Conspiracy to Deliver Marijuana. Black was subsequently found guilty of Aggravated Assault and sentenced in September 2015 to life imprisonment as a Habitual Criminal.
Black’s conviction was overturned last month by the Wyoming State Supreme Court. He will be retried in Teton County. No date has been set as yet for a preliminary appearance.
