JACKSON, Wyo. — Jackson has now joined a list of towns where a variety of food can be delivered straight to your door.

The globally popular Uber Eats, an offshoot of the rideshare service Uber, has just launched their service in Jackson. The app allows users to choose menu items from local restaurants and the meals will be delivered to their door (there is also a pickup option).

Uber Eats offers another alternative for getting food during the COVID-19 pandemic. One of the delivery drivers, Jason Deshner, talked about some safety recommendations that Uber is asking its drivers to follow.

“Uber is asking us to wear face masks as long as we can find a face mask,” Deshner stated.

He also mentioned how he thinks Uber Eats will impact the restaurant industry in Jackson during this time, “I think it’s going to be an amazing benefit. We only have two places that deliver which are pizza places, it will be a good benefit to having multiple places to choose from with a different variety of food that can be delivered.”

Some of the restaurants that are already on board are Bin22, Moe’s BBQ, and Pinky G’s. Delivery times range from 30-50 mins and there is currently a $0 delivery fee.
