JACKSON, Wyo. — The U.S. National Weather Service has issued a flood watch for Teton County and other parts of central and northwest Wyoming, including the Gros Ventre Mountains and Yellowstone National Park from Thursday, Aug. 3 at 6 a.m. to Friday, Aug. 4 at 11 p.m.

“Excessive rainfall may cause flash flooding of rivers, creeks, streams and other low-lying and flood-prone locations,” according to the National Weather Service. “Monitor the forecast and be prepared to take action should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.”

Rainfall rates of one to four inches per hour are possible.
