Fire/EMS to host open house at Station #1 Jackson Hole Fire Department Fire department Buckrail - Jackson Hole, news
Fire/EMS Station #1

JACKSON HOLE, WYO – Jackson Fire/EMS will be touring the public through their Station #1 facility at 40 East Pearl Avenue on Thursday, March 30 at 2:00 pm. The department hopes to educate voters on exactly what is needed at that station, as well as the Hoback #3 Station.

Improvements and renovations for both fire stations are on the slate for a May 2 special SPET vote. The Fire/EMS proposal will be Prop #9—it would allocate $6,800,000 for the purpose of funding the renovation, construction and seismic upgrades to Fire Station #1 (Jackson) and to fund the acquisition of land, easements, and the planning/engineering of a new Fire Station #3 (Hoback).

At the March 30 open house, the public will get a chance to meet Fire/EMS volunteer and career staff, walk through existing structure including apparatus bay, living quarters and training area, and review construction documents which include seismic upgrades along with creating more space for community needs.
