JACKSON Wyo. — As of yesterday Sept. 18, a new wildfire is burning in Moose Meadows just north of Phillips Pass on the Caribou Targhee forest side of Teton Pass.

According to Teton Interagency Fire Dispatch, the fire has burned 0.1 acres and is not growing. Resources had been assigned to monitor the location and firefighters had a line around the fire.

This fire is not currently not considered a threat. Jackson has been fortunate with a relatively mild fire season, and this fire will doubtfully gain much traction with rain in the forecast Wednesday and Thursday.
