Update: Green River Lakes road at the end of State Highway 352 is closed due to the fire, as of 3:25 p.m.
PINEDALE, Wyo. — The Sublette County Sheriff’s Office reported a fast-moving wildland fire near Dollar Lake in the Green River Lakes area at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday, encouraging recreationists to relocate.
“If you are in the area, please evacuate immediately,” the Sublette County Sheriff’s Office posted to Facebook.
Bridger-Teton National Forest (BTNF) posted about the new fire, too, stating that it’s estimated to be 20 to 30 acres in size on the Pinedale Ranger District. The fire is burning in timber and its cause has not been determined.
“Forest personnel and Sublette County are responding to suppress the fire,” BTNF posted. “A helicopter is on scene and more aviation resources have been ordered. Please avoid the area to allow firefighting personnel safe and quick access to the area.”
BTNF is also working to suppress the Little Greys Fire, which is estimated to be 39 acres in size.
