ALTA, WY— Grand Targhee Resort turned 50 this winter, but snowboarders had to wait another 20 years before they were able to enjoy the ‘Ghee’s glory. So to celebrate the 30th anniversary of snowboarding, Targhee is throwing a snowboard reunion weekend full of competitions, demos, parties and more all weekend long.
Join in celebrating the “birth of snowboarding at Grand Targhee” with guests of honor Mark Austin and Barry Olsen, former snowboard instructors who pioneered Targhee’s snowboard program in 1988.
Events include a Quarter Pipe Jam Session next to the Trap Bar Deck, a Shred Show at Habitat to showcase favorite boards, an Instagram photo challenge with big prizes, demos, and more.
