SOME OF THE IN-PERSON CLASSES AVAILABLE AT CWC JACKSON:

Science

  • General Biology: Thursdays 10 a.m- 2:20 p.m.
  • Human Anatomy: Tuesdays OR Thursdays 5-7:50 p.m.

Math

  • Pre-college math: Two levels are available, MATH 900 and MATH 920 on Monday and Wednesday mornings.
  • College Algebra: Mondays and Wednesdays 8:30-10:30 a.m.

Computer Science

  • Intro to Networking: Tuesdays 5:30-8 p.m. 

A new course offered in Jackson. An introductory course focusing on configuring, managing and troubleshooting the elements of a basic network infrastructure. Students learn networking basics, cables and connectors, networking devices, Ethernet, implementing a network, wireless and wide area networks. Basic network security, management, and troubleshooting are included.

  • Hardware Maintenance: Wednesdays 5:30-9 p.m. 

A new course offered in Jackson. Students learn a basic working knowledge of personal computer hardware components and system design through hands-on experience in component installation and upgrading. Troubleshooting techniques will be emphasized including hands-on experience in debugging problematic systems.

Digital Imaging Sept. 12-Dec. 8

  • Mondays 4-5 p.m. and Wednesdays 4-7 p.m.

A new course offered in Jackson. This course explores the unique capabilities of Photoshop to create and transform digitized images. Emphasis is on the development of expressive visual art through the use of art and design concepts. Students will develop techniques and concepts related to digital imaging. Digital Images will be edited using current Adobe Creative Cloud Software.

English, Communication, Language

  • Public Speaking: Tuesdays 6-8:40 p.m.
  • English Composition I: Tuesdays and Thursdays  8:30-9:50 a.m.
  • English Composition II: Tuesdays and Thursdays  11:30 a.m.-12:50 p.m.
  • Second Year Spanish I: Monday  1-2 p.m. (Zoom and online)
  • First Year Spanish I Sept. 7-Dec. 9., Mondays and Wednesdays 4-6 p.m.

A new course offered at CWC Jackson. Fundamental Spanish skills are studied through a grammatical and conversational approach. Emphasis is placed on developing speaking, listening, writing and reading skills. Primarily for those with no previous language experience.
