MOOSE, Wyo. — Visitors to Grand Teton National Park (GTNP) should expect road closures beginning Thursday, Aug. 17.

Signal Mountain Summit Road will be closed Aug. 17 through Aug. 25. Two Ocean Lake Road will be closed Aug. 17 to Sept. 9, with no access to Two Ocean Lake parking.

String Lake Boat Launch parking, String Lake Outlet Trailhead parking, and Catholic Bay parking will be closed Aug. 22.

According to a press release issued by the park Tuesday, the closures are necessary to use a crane to install new restroom facilities throughout the park.

The park is asking motorists to plan ahead for closures and reduce speeds in areas where work is occurring. Construction schedules may change or be delayed without notice due to weather conditions or other circumstances, says the park.

The park reopened Moose-Wilson Road earlier this month but up to 20-minute delays are still expected as construction continues on the corridor. Moose Landing is also under construction this summer but remains open to river users.

For the status of park roads, visit Grand Teton’s live road status map at go.nps.gov/tetonroads or call 307-739-3682.
