Lunch & Learn: Making the Shift to Strategic HR
Thursday, Nov. 2, 12 p.m. – 1 p.m., Teton County Library Ordway Auditorium. Presented by Will Schwartz, Chief Operating Officer, Community Foundation of Jackson Hole.
A case-study approach exploring solutions to challenges such as staying current on human resources compliance, retaining and recruiting employees, and shifting from an admin-heavy approach to one focused on values, culture and performance. Professional Development Grants Program
As a complement to our workshop offerings, nonprofits based in and serving Teton County may apply for up to $500 once per calendar year to help offset professional development and continuing education expenses.
Eligible expenses include:
- Registration fees for online or in-person trainings, workshops or conferences
- Travel, accommodations and food related to out-of-town trainings
- Fees for 1:1 or team coaching, educational materials and resources
Professional development work must be scheduled to occur within the next nine months. Please apply later for work more than nine months out.
Ineligible expense: trade organization memberships.

TIMELINE
- Application periods: January-February, April-May, July-August, October-November
- Review periods: March, June, September, December
- Notification by: mid-March, mid-June, mid-September, mid-December
- Grant checks mailed for funded applications: late March, late June, late September, late December
ELIGIBILITY
- Applicant must be a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, government entity or other IRS-recognized charitable organization based in and serving Teton County, Wyoming OR be fiscally sponsored by an entity that meets these requirements.
- Funds may not be used for debt retirement or religious or political activities.
- Applicant’s work must not be primarily focused on influencing legislation.
- Grant funds may not be used for a project or training that has already been completed.
ADDITIONAL FUNDING SOURCES
Teton County nonprofits are also encouraged to apply for Wyoming Department of Workforce Service Business Training Grants. Up to $4,000 per trainee or $200,000 per organization is available per state fiscal year. Click here for a DWS program overview and here for details and rules.
