It’s called College Rendezvous, but there’s plenty of music and action for everyone at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort and around town this week.
Come on out for the great skiing, stay for the free music. JHMR just toppled 400”, and with more snow in the forecast this is sure to be a weekend of skiing and riding with a side of music not to forget.
Thursday through Sunday, JHMR will host live music under the tram every night, and it’s all free. Yak Attack brings “organic electronica” to the stage Thursday — skillful playing, live loops, and tightly constructed songs combined with raw improvisation to build high-energy and uplifting dance music from scratch. Friday gets funky with Ayron Jones, who combines fiery blues and hip-hop beats in an honest and exciting live show.
Saturday’s act is hard to classify, and harder to forget. The Main Squeeze is a little hip hop, a little funk, and a little rock all in one. The weekend concludes with a classic rock n’ roll band, Midnight North, Sunday. All shows start at 3 pm, and did we mention they’re all free? Learn more about the lineup here.
Of course for college students, the deal is especially sweet. In addition to free music all week, college students with a valid student ID can ski three consecutive days for just $199 between March 8-18. Want to ski more? Get 40 percent off single-day lift tickets from March 8-18.
