JACKSON, Wyo. — Chabad Jewish Center of Wyoming will host a prayer vigil on Monday evening to remember the Israelis who were killed over the weekend.

The Israel-Palestine conflict escalated on Saturday, Oct. 7, with airstrikes killing more than 700 people in Israel.

“Never since the Holocaust have this many Jews been murdered in one day,” Rabbi Zalman and Raizy Mendelsohn wrote in their email announcing the vigil. “Let that sink in.”

Those who wish to participate in the “prayer vigil and evening of solidarity” are invited to the Chabad Jewish Center at 265 E. Broadway Ave. The event will begin at 7 p.m.

“We will then march together to the Town Square on the corner of Broadway Ave and Cache Street to voice our support for Israel,” the email invitation said.

The event is open to all.
